This diploma course in aromatherapy is an opportunity and excellent choice for anyone who is seeking to establish a career in this field of work. The qualification with the I.F.A. ensures the highest standards of excellence for a course of this nature.

There are four diplomas in all:

• A & P
• Swedish Massage
• Aromatherapy Massage
• Aromatherapy Theory

In order to reach diploma standard students will be required to study and reach a level of competency in the following:-

• Basic Massage and History of Massage
• Aromatherapy Theory
• 60 essential oils
• Anatomy and Physiology
• Botany/Chemistry of oils
• Massage theory
• History of Aromatherapy massage
• Business management

In addition to the core curriculum the course will include some:

• Diagnostic techniques

• Counselling skills

•  Holistic consultation

• Other holistic approaches to healing

The course is delivered using a combination of practical group work, workshops and theory sessions.  Additional one-to-one coaching is provided where needed.

The I.F.A. (International Federation of Aromatherapists) is a professional membership association and a registered charity whose aim is to increase public awareness of the benefits of aromatherapy. The organisation has been in existence since 1985 and is one of the largest leading aromatherapy associations in the UK and world.

The I.F.A. ensures that all of it’s members have received expert professional training, maintain a high standard of practice and follow the I.F.A. Code of Conduct and Ethics.
