Emotional Therapy Course

“Having spent the last three years working  closely with patients and carers within mental health services, one thing became very clear. People with mental health problems advocate the importance of a holistic approach to mental health care, which  in addition to the biomedical and psychological aspects of care also needs to encompass both the social and spiritual needs of individuals with mental health problems. Patients have talked to me about the importance of social support (e.g. friends and family support), the significance of creative expression e.g. writing poetry, painting and other activities which allow oneself to express their emotions. Spiritual beliefs, meditation, relaxation classes and other activities which produce a sense of self-esteem have also been acknowledged as having a significant role to play in managing patients’ mental health conditions. No other therapy as far as I am aware appears to encompass such a holistic approach to emotional well-being as emotional therapy does. Even more special about emotional therapy is the belief that the therapist really does care about you and is walking beside you all the way. For all of these reasons, in addition to the therapeutic benefits that emotional therapy has brought to me, I truly believe in and advocate the use of emotional therapy with all of my heart”.

Dr. Tracey – Mental Health

"ET not only saved my life, it made me realise that I am a person who is important and who is worthwhile and who is an Emotional Being and that is OK very OK "

Fiona -Teacher

“ET was probably the most enriching experience of my life: I felt wholly accepted”.

Jan – Self-employed

“This kind of creative therapy should be mandatory in schools/colleges”.

Maureen - Therapist

“I feel better – more full of life and joy and hope – than I can remember feeling ever.”

Sue - P.A.

“Having tried cognitive, and psychotherapy for some time and somehow not being able to `feel’ any better a friend recommended me to try Emotional Therapy. I have never looked back since! I can only describe it as being warm, friendly and `real`. Whilst it was never a friendship or relationship I felt there was a genuine connection. I know the therapist `cared’. I loved some of the techniques too-so revealing. My life has changed so much for the better.”

Michael -Engineer

“Emotional therapy reaches right into the heart chakra, where it touches the soul, cuts out and releases the emotional pain trapped in the soul and then tends to and heals the wound to produce a bright, sparkling soul, and warm, happy heart which resonate feelings of lightness, of peace, of harmony and of love, both within oneself and within the universe as a whole”.

Dr Tracey S

"Emotional Therapy helped me at a very difficult time some years ago. Working with an experienced therapist I was able to sort out the remains of painful situations and move on with my life to a brighter future with more confidence than I could ever have imagined. The things I learned then still help me on a daily basis now."

Carolyn - Writer

“Having spent three years listening to people’s heart rendering tales of their pain and suffering and their sometimes horrific experiences of mental health services, I decided that I wanted to be able to make a real difference to the lives of the many people who experience emotional distress and mental ill health and train to become a therapist in mental health. However, my own experience of counselling and my knowledge of other psychological therapies were that they were too lacking in emotional support and empathy, positive thinking and a holistic approach to emotional well-being, which is what I believe in. As a result I felt that I would be compromising my beliefs if I trained in such a ‘clinical’ based therapy. I was therefore delighted and excited to learn about the existence of Emotional Therapy which works on exactly the premise that I was looking for”.
